Grand Blanc Arts Council has been awarded the Share Art Genesee Grant by the Greater Flint Arts Council (GFAC). The grant was awarded and accepted on April 1, 2019 by Shirley Eason and Sue Purdy, GBAC Board Members. The $3500 dollar grant will serve the Grand Blanc community by providing a four-panel mural, painted by Grand Blanc school children, under the guidance of Artist Karen Tomlinson. The painting of the mural will occur over the summer months and be installed by the city in the Playscape area in Physicians Park. Walt Russ will Chair the Grant Project with several GBAC Boards members supporting. A big thank you goes out to Walt, Peggy Newell, Karen, and Christina Yott for preparing and designing the Grant proposal.
