Steve Pierce- Tenor
After life-changing events, Ann Arbor native tenor, Steve Pierce resolved to feed his passion for music and sing as much as possible for as long as possible. He performed his first-ever Messiah under these very auspices (Grand Blanc Arts Council) in 2016 —just two weeks after the tragic, accidental death of his 15-year old son.
This marks his fourth Messiah. Earlier this year, he performed Mozart’s Requiem with the Michigan Sinfonetta under Dr. Glenn-Thomas Rideout, and Italian songs with mandolinist and U-M lecturer Francesco Cavallini. In September, he performed in a joint concert, “Love Changes Everything,” with soprano, Annie Calvaneso. They will perform together, again, with U-M staff pianist, Joshua Marzan, and expanded repertoire including solo arias, art songs, and popular duets, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ann Arbor.
